About the course

As a leader’s influence expands, so does their need to sharpen decision-making, conflict resolution and relationship skills.  Via robust, experiential learning frameworks, you’ll refine your unique strategic leadership style and strengthen your ability to innovate and influence across your department or organization.

 

This course uses deep practice in case work and peer group coaching to broaden perspectives and get incisive feedback.  You walk away with coping methods to work around your potential derailers and practices that bolster your key strengths.

 

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Deepen self-awareness, recognize personal derailers and gain coping tactics

  • Meet challenges through strengthened relationship skills

  • Influence and implement strategies to achieve organizational goals

  • Build and articulate a shared purpose

Most suitable for

  • Head of department or senior leader with around 3 - 5 years of managerial experience

  • Strong contributors who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential

  • Specialists and advisors with growing strategic influence

 

How it works

This is a comprehensive 7-month strategic leader development program.  You engage in a flow of activities designed to toggle between learning and immediate application. You participate in 8 live online sessions with real world cases, collaborative exchange, and meaningful feedback, focusing on your personal leadership challenges and how to extend your skill set to strategic, system-wide issues.

 

Time investment

Expect to dedicate about 1-3 hours per week to your strategic leadership development over the course of 7 months.  Total course hours: 53.

Course requirements

Highest benefit goes to people who have engaged in previous leadership development through courses, mentorship and/or reflection on experience.

The Highline Practice  Courses Cancellation or Change of Enrollment Policy


The Highline Practice cancellation policy applies to all cancellations, transfers and
postponements of participation received 30 days or less prior to the commencement of the
program.


All cancellations of participation (including substitutions/transfers/postponements) must be
confirmed in writing via email to derk@thehighlinepractice.com 

 

If you wish to cancel or change your enrollment, the following cancellation
fee shall apply:

  • Before 30 days prior to the commencement of the course you will receive a full

      refund minus 10% administration fee

  • 30 days prior to the commencement of the course 25% of course fee

  • 29 - 8 days prior to the commencement of the course 50% of course fee

  • 7 days or less prior to the commencement of the course 100% of course fee
